A Divine Calling

Over three decades ago, David Oluwatoyin Oladoyin experienced a profound spiritual awakening while reading the book of Exodus from the Layman’s Parallel New Testament and the Good News version of the Bible, which notably excluded the entire book of Genesis. As he delved into the miraculous story of the parting of the Red Sea, David heard a divine and authoritative voice speaking to his heart: “If you will receive me as your Lord and Saviour, I will use you the same way I used Moses to set my people free.”

This moment marked the beginning of an extraordinary journey. Just two days later, David attended church for the first time, where he was born again and baptized in the Holy Ghost, manifesting the initial evidence of speaking in tongues. His transformation was swift and powerful, leading him to answer God’s call to full-time ministry on November 30, 1990.

The Mandate and Ordination

In 1994, David received a compelling mandate: “Take the Word of Faith for Victory to the Nations of the world to set at liberty those that are bound by the devil.” This divine directive shaped his mission and fueled his passion for ministry. On September 13, 1997, David and his wife Julian Oladoyin were ordained as ministers of the gospel, marking another pivotal step in their spiritual journey.

The couple’s personal and spiritual lives intertwined beautifully. On December 19, 1998, David and Julian were married at St Marks Anglican Cathedral in Offa, Kwara State. Their union was blessed with four boys, further enriching their lives and ministry.

Founding of Destiny Achievers Faith Church

Their dedication and service to the Lord took them to various places and roles, refining their vision and expanding their impact. In 2007, after years of voluntary service, David and Julian felt a divine push to resign from their last pastorate. This step of faith led to the founding of Destiny Achievers Faith Church later that year.

The church was officially launched with a transformative five-day program from December 28, 2007, to January 1, 2008, held at the playground of His Grace Universal Schools. This event marked the beginning of what would become a thriving spiritual community. Starting with services in a small classroom, the church quickly grew, necessitating a move to a larger space before finally settling in their permanent facility at 79 Magajin Gari Road, near His Grace Universal Schools, Sabon Gari, Gonin Gora, Kaduna.

A Legacy of faith

Throughout this journey, the anchor scripture that has guided and inspired Destiny Achievers Faith Church is 1 John 5:4: “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” This verse encapsulates the church’s mission and the resilient faith that has driven its growth and outreach.

Today, Destiny Achievers Faith Church stands as a testament to the power of faith, dedication, and divine calling. It continues to expand its reach and impact, offering a place of worship, community, and spiritual growth for believers around the world. Through unwavering commitment and a passion for spreading the Word of Faith, Pastors David and Julian Oladoyin have created a lasting legacy that inspires and transforms lives globally.
